Thank you for getting back to me. The tree does get quite a bit of sun. It is not near the house. Several years ago it seemed that the tree was tending to lean to one side. I tied the most leaning branch to a stake in the ground hoping to straighten. The branch I tied the rope to eventually started growing over the rope. I then cut the rope but it did make a ring around the branch. That is the branch that has the fruit.
